Are you ready to make a sweet impact in a dynamic environment, right at the heart of sugar production? As a Business Controller, you act as a business partner to operations, sales and other departments of Tiense Suikerraffinaderij in Belgium. Our business controllers are responsible for the cost and margin analysis of processes related to the development, manufacturing and packaging of sugar products in our different factories. For this specific function, we look for a colleague who likes to focus on improvement of financial reporting tools and business performance dashboards.
Your job as Business Controller
At Tiense Suikerraffinaderij, we boast an impressive lineup of 6 factories, each specializing in unique sugar processes. Ensuring optimal efficiency and cost effectiveness across all operations is essential to our success. Your main responsibilities are, together with your colleague business controller:
- You develop automatic and easy-speaking cost analyses and dashboards
- You create added value by making recommendations and thus enabling well-founded business decisions. You develop, maintain and follow up on business data (e.g. budgets, forecasts, cost targets, KPI) and monitor cost efficiencies through the whole chain
- You play an active role in the monthly and yearly closings and the regular forecasting process
- You report to the Director Controlling. You report to and work together with the colleagues of the Südzucker Group.

You should also possess the following qualifications and experiences:
- Master's Degree (e.g. economics)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business/operational controlling or in an analyst function
- A strong affinity with IT tools:
- knowledge of Excel including pivot tables is essential
- experience in creating reports and dashboards with a modern tool set is required
- knowledge of SAP FiCo / SAP BI is an asset
- Excellent level of spoken and written Dutch and English; good level of French
- Strong competencies in and interest for business analytics, as well as a good understanding of accounting
- Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
