Your Tasks

1. Leading and coaching the team (i.e. training, informing, setting objectives) in order to create a spirit of contribution and motivating collaboration. This includes: conducting daily discussions with the team, conducting annual coaching and evaluation interviews, providing ongoing training to employees, etc.
2.    Organise the work of the teams according to the production instructions by giving them instructions, managing schedules, preparing the installations for cleaning, product changes and maintenance interventions in order to achieve the productivity objectives in terms of quantity and quality expected.
3.    Supervise the production workflow and coordination with other production units, maintenance, logistics and quality to meet the productivity targets of the facility. This includes: acting as an interface between the engineer and the operators, monitoring the execution of curative, preventive and 1st level maintenance interventions by ensuring that safety rules (permits and consignment) are correctly applied.
4.    Coordinate the resolution of technical problems related to the production line in order to minimise production stoppages and product downgrades.
5.    Collect information on the causes of process, technical and quality malfunctions, define and implement the necessary corrections. To report repetitive and unresolved deviations to the production engineer to feed the continuous improvement system and increase line performance.
6.    Monitor the application of internal safety, quality, hygiene, maintenance, energy performance and environmental standards in the field to ensure compliance with our corporate policy and product specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, field tours (monitoring of cleanliness, trouble tickets, safety and environment), implementation of EHS and quality actions, field inspections, review of risk analysis, monitoring of product quality actions (laboratory results,...).
7.    Suggesting areas for improvement in order to increase the results in terms of quality, safety or productivity of the production lines.
8.    To participate in the drafting of operating modes/procedures in accordance with the predefined rules in order to guarantee the correct operation of the production line.
9.    Participate in the on-call system during weekdays and weekends to minimise non-productive time. This includes reviewing production curves, analysis results, food safety critical points, signing specific permits, monitoring tonnages, ...

 

Your Profile

Level of education and/or experience required for the position: 
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience + 3 years prior relevant experience 
- A2 or equivalent by experience + 5 to 8 years prior relevant experience 


Technical and behavioural (including linguistic) skills required for the position:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the operator position and the department
- Ability to make decisions, lead a team (leader) and work in a team 
- Ability to delegate, to listen and to communicate with colleagues
- Pragmatic, rigorous
- Humble and respectful, able to question oneself, tenacity to adapt to all types of problems and to put forward proposals
- Knowledge/experience in production techniques in an industrial environment.
