Your responsibilities
Are you passionate about driving strategic growth and building strong customer relationships? At BENEO, we’re looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager EEU to lead our commercial activities in a defined region. In this role, you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing the area sales strategy, managing key accounts, and driving sustainable growth across multiple markets.
As Area Sales Manager, you will:
- Develop and implement a long-term sales strategy for your area, aligned with our regional and product strategies.
- Translate our 5-Year Planning (5YPL) targets into concrete, area-specific sales actions to achieve our growth goals.
- Understand and prioritize local market and customer needs, ensuring internal stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Actively visit and engage with key customers, promoting BENEO’s innovative solutions and strengthening long-term relationships.
- Monitor and manage overdue accounts and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
- Keep our CRM+ development pipeline up to date, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent progress tracking.
- Regularly prepare and review sales forecasts for your area to support optimal production planning.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic customer relationships, creating tailored customer strategies within your region.
- Handle commercial negotiations, contracts, NDAs, pricing updates, and other customer-related agreements in line with internal policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities to Sales Administration and Commercial Management, in line with our procedures.
- Analyze the competitive landscape, market trends, distribution networks, and promotional activities, providing valuable insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Lead area-specific marketing initiatives, such as coordinating customer events and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate regular knowledge exchange between Sales, Product Management, and expert departments to align on market demands and product feasibility.
Your Profile
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in Business Administration, Biological Sciences, or Food Technology – or at least 5 years of experience in a similar commercial role.
- A strong commercial mindset, with a proven ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term partnerships.
- Solid analytical skills – you’re confident interpreting data, identifying trends, and making well-informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – you're able to convey complex ideas clearly and professionally.
- Skilled in formal and informal reporting, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned with ongoing developments.
- A sound understanding of chemo-technical concepts, allowing you to engage in in-depth product and solution discussions.
- Fluent in English – additional languages are always a plus!
