Your responsibilities

  • Drive Food Regulatory Affairs activities, submissions, and processes for the US & Canada region in line with regional strategic priorities.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments, identify opportunities and risks, and provide regulatory guidance to internal teams and customers to ensure compliance of BENEO ingredients.
  • Prepare and align regulatory position papers and comments on draft legislation for submission to authorities, contributing to the development of science-based regulations.
  • Develop and manage regulatory dossiers for new ingredient approvals and health or nutrition claims, liaising with authorities to support successful market access.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and practical regulatory advice to cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Quality, CTS, etc.) and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate product, facility, and distributor registrations and renewals to ensure uninterrupted import and export activities.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the regional regulatory database and documentation, ensuring information remains current and compliant with the latest legislation.
  • Represent BENEO in interactions with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other external organizations, actively supporting regulatory advocacy initiatives within the US & Canada region.

 

Your Profile

The ideal candidate has solid experience in Food Regulatory Affairs within the US and Canadian markets, combined with excellent English communication skills. They are able to independently assess regulatory requirements related to food labelling, claims, ingredient status, and customer inquiries relevant to BENEO's ingredient portfolio.

The candidate thrives in an international matrix organization and demonstrates a collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach. As this position reports to the Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs US/CAN, based in Europe, the successful candidate should be comfortable working across time zones, maintaining close alignment with the Senior Manager US/CAN and the Head of Global Regulatory Affairs. They are expected to identify and transparently communicate regulatory risks, contribute to consistent regulatory positions, and actively support a culture of teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
