Your Tasks

  • Develop and implement a group-wide environmental strategy to ensure compliance with European and national environmental regulations, focusing on practical implementation in production environments across Europe
  • Set up an environmental management system in accordance with DIN ISO 14001 or EMAS
  • Implement group-wide guidelines and regulations in the field of environmental compliance
  • Coordinate and support cooperation with other departments to realize measures, plans, and projects for the operational implementation of environmental requirements, particularly in production plants
  • Independently monitor and control the defined environmental and sustainability targets, ensuring compliance and optimization across European production sites
  • Digitalize all relevant group-wide environmental processes in our data management software and support the companies with the implementation and evaluation of relevant key figures
  • Support the development of communication concepts and training materials to promote environmental awareness and a culture of compliance within the company

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in environmental engineering, management, natural science, or another field relevant to this position
  • Several years of professional experience, with a strong focus on operational environmental management, preferably in production environments
  • Sound knowledge of the establishment and further development of environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and EMAS, with practical experience in European environmental legislation and operational aspects of environmental protection in production facilities
  • Extensive experience in environmental compliance and environmental strategies and hands-on experience in supporting operational teams in production facilities, as well as project management
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and German; French language skills beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with production sites and support operational teams in implementing environmental measures and driving compliance efforts
  • Ability to work independently and conscientiously, manage projects reliably and in a results-oriented manner while meeting deadlines and involving stakeholders
